This hot sauce is bursting with summer flavor. Juicy, tart blackberries and bright cilantro combined with fresh jalapeños make for a delicious spicy condiment you’ll want to put on everything! It goes great with tacos, quesadillas, and eggs. It also makes a great accompaniment to charcuterie boards. Stir it into cream cheese to make a flavorful dip that pairs perfectly with tortilla chips for a simple summer appetizer.
Ingredients:
- 2 jalapeño peppers, deseeded
- 3 cups blackberries
- 2 small red onions, sliced
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tsp sea salt
- 3 Tbsp honey
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
Makes 32 fl. oz (4 cups) of hot sauce
Directions:
Add the jalapeños, blackberries, onion, and water to a small pot. Simmer on medium heat for 15 minutes. Then let cool.
Add the cooked blackberries, pepper, and onions to a blender with the vinegar, salt, honey & cilantro. Blend until smooth. Then spoon into jars and store in the refrigerator.
