Coffee, the delightful bitter drink brewed from the seeds of Coffea arabica, is one of the most popular beverages in the world. In addition to its robust, delicious flavor and energizing effect, it also boasts numerous health benefits.
Research shows that antioxidant rich coffee can be helpful for preventing numerous diseases. People who consume coffee regularly are less likely to develop Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and certain types of cancers. Coffee also has a protective effect on the liver and heart.
Studies have also found that coffee drinkers are less likely to die from several of the most common causes of death, including coronary heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and kidney disease.
Infusing homemade condiments with coffee is a great way to boost their health benefits and add depth of flavor. This simple vinaigrette incorporates coffee for a unique taste that is sure to spruce up any salad. We like to enjoy it on a blend of fresh lettuce and arugula from our gardens.
