One of my favorite holiday rituals is the festive feast we have every year. Our family’s traditional Christmas dinner features pork ribs slathered in homemade pine barbecue sauce.

Make your coffee do double-duty by working in herbs through sweetening your beverage with spiced coffee sugar. Turmeric works well in synergy with other botanicals such as cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, allspice, and cloves, both medicinally as a combination of warming, stimulating spices, and culinarily with their complementary flavors. Don’t forget to add black pepper, however, as this key ingredient helps to make the turmeric more bioavailable in the body.
Though an unconventional addition to a Bloody Mary, whiskey adds an excellent depth of flavor to this classic cocktail. Infusing the whiskey with black peppercorns adds spicy, pungent notes that are characteristic of many pre-made Bloody Mary mixes.
These crackers are easy to make and come together with a few simple ingredients. They can be enjoyed on their own or paired with cheese or dip. They also make an unique addition to charcuterie boards.
