Happy Heart Seasoning Blend

Last Updated on June 30, 2026

If you have high blood pressure or heart issues, your doctor has probably recommended that you eat a diet low in salt. But, reducing how much salt you use can leave food tasting bland and fairly boring, especially if you don’t usually cook this way.

Fortunately, adding herbs & spices to your meals can boost flavor and health benefits. This seasoning blend is not only tasty, it combines several herbs that promote a healthy cardiovascular system.

Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna, Crataegus laevigata) are rich in flavonoids that promote heart health. Research has demonstrated its beneficial effects on the cardiovascular system including reduced blood pressure & cholesterol, and improved heart function.

The addition of other heart healthy herbs help to boost the flavor and benefits of this blend. Rosemary (Salvia rosmarinus) might reduce the risk of heart failure after a heart attack. Garlic (Allium sativum) and black pepper (Piper nigrum) have a cardioprotective effect and can help to reduce blood pressure. Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) may help to decrease the risk of heart disease.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
