Lilac Syrup

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup lilac flowers, fresh

Method
 

  1. Pick lilac flowers off the stems and set aside.
  2. Add water to a pot and bring to a boil. Add the sugar and stir until dissolved.
  3. Remove from the heat. Add the lilac blossoms to the pot, give it a quick stir, and cover. Let steep for an hour or so.
  4. Strain and rebottle the syrup.
