Camarones al Ajillo (Garlic Shrimp)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb shrimp cleaned
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken or rabbit broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • salt to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • juice of a small lime
  • cilantro to garnish

  • 1 saucepan

Method
 

  1. Melt about a tablespoon of butter in a pan. Add the shrimp and garlic and sauté for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Add the broth, milk, and the rest of the butter, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the sauce thickens a bit. Stir in the salt, pepper, and lime juice.
  3. Remove from the heat and serve with rice. Garnish with cilantro, if desired.
